Damjan Katušić
Damjan Katušić was born on May 9th, 1987 in Zagreb, Croatia. In the year 2005 he finished his high school education at XV Grammar School, Zagreb. The same year he enrolled in the undergraduate study program at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. He received B.Sc. degree on July 10th, 2008. The same year he continued his education at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, now at graduate study level. He received M.Sc. degree on June 28th, 2010. After receiving master’s degree, in February 2011 he enrolled into postgraduate doctoral program at the Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Currently he is working at the Department of Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb as a research associate on a project “Looking to the Future 2020”, funded by Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), as an external research associate on a project “Machine-to-Machine Communication Challenges”, financed by the Ericsson Nikola Tesla (ETK), and since 2014. as a research associate on a scientific project „Human-centric Communication in Smart networks“, funded by Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ).
Damjan Katušić co-authored 1 book chapter, 1 scientific paper cited in Current Commons journals, 2 scientific papers in other journals, 10 scientific papers in conference proceedings, and 1 professional paper.
His professional interests are complex service provisioning and cooperating mechanisms in the field of Machine-to-Machine communications. His competencies include machine learning techniques (as part of project with HAKOM), Quality of Service estimation (as part of project with HAKOM), wireless communication technologies (as part of project with ETK), and Internet of Things environments (as part of project with HRZZ).
He is fluent in English language and has a basic knowledge of German language. He is a member of IEEE association and KES International.
