Denis Salopek

Denis Salopek received his Master’s degree in telecommunication and informatics from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb in 2013. He was then employed at the same faculty within the E-IMUNES project funded by Ericsson Nikola Tesla working on the IMUNES network simulator/emulator and doing work as a teacher’s assistant on multiple courses. After the E-IMUNES project ended, he continued his work on the faculty as an Assistant and network administrator for the Department of Telecommunications (ZTEL) since July 2017.

His fields of research include (fast) network packet processing, routing and filtering, network virtualization and simulation/emulation, internet security and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) systems. His current focus of research is combining hardware and software methods for fast network packet processing.

He is a member of IEEE.
