Željka Car
Željka Car, Ph.D. is with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb where she works as an associate professor at the Department of Telecommunications. She received Ph.D. (2001) and M.Sc. (1996) degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb.
She initiated national multidisciplinary research in the area of ICT-based systems for augmentative and alternative communication for persons with complex communication needs. Her research interest includes software engineering in telecommunications, focusing particularly on an innovative ICT solutions in the area of e-accessibility and e-inclusion; project management, software process engineering and telecommunications value added services.
Currently she is leading project funded by Croatian Academy of Science and Arts and participates in the projects funded by EU Social Fund, Croatian science foundation, Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, and COST Action IC1303. She was leader of the multidisciplinary project funded by the University of Zagreb Development Fund and two R&D projects with industry partners. Also, she actively participated in three national scientific projects support by the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and in R&D project funded by Croatian Institute of Technology. She co-authored over 50 scientific and professional papers, book chapters and articles in journals and conference proceedings.
She is member of the international professional society IEEE.
